If you think these are contradictory terms, this isn’t the blog for you.

Everything posted here is meant to help you become a better practical creative. Ie; someone who makes a living from their art and ideas. Consider this blog a resource for the young and the restless media creators+producers determined to make their own way.

Posts will range from interviews with established creatives that have fully broken into their industries, to break downs of the bare brass, nuts and bolts that are crucial to know if you plan to run your own business.

Since I’m a freelance photographer and multimedia producer, posts will focus more on being a creative in the context of the media industry. Since I’m young, it takes the perspective of someone getting their first footholds in a rapidly changing industry. Since I’m also a commercial media producer, some posts will be applicable across creative fields.

Along the way I’d love to hear what you think. As media producers we are in this together and I strongly believe that collaboration, conversation and transparency help produce our best work. Hit me up with questions. This is about community and camaraderie and conversation that pushes all of our work to the next level.
